Tanya M.Phares, DO, MPH, FACP, FACPM, DipABLM

Dr. Phares is a board-certified specialist in Preventive Medicine/Public Health and Lifestyle Medicine, with expertise in nutrition and women's health.

She earned her medical degree from Western University of Health Science and completed an internal medicine residency at the University of California, Irvine, and a preventive medicine residency with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health. She received a master's degree in public health from Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine and completed a fellowship with the Centers for Disease Control.  She obtained certification in Culinary Coaching through the Institute of Lifestyle Medicine, Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, Harvard Medical School. 

Dr. Phares is a diplomate of the American Board of Preventive Medicine, American Board of Lifestyle Medicine, American Board of Internal Medicine, and American Board of Osteopathic Internal Medicine. She is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and American College of Preventive Medicine.  

She has authored multiple research papers in peer-reviewed medical journals and served on the Prevention Practice Committee for the American College of Preventive Medicine, developing national guidelines for clinical preventive services.
